"I find in this business it's best to shoot first and then shoot some more later."

Penny Dreadful: Monster Hunter versus Le Bonhomme Sept-Heures, the boogeyman of Northern Quebec. Assisting her is her plucky intern, who tags along doing her field study toward her masters degree in zoology and cryptozoology. The Bonhomme's look I based on a big green hairless bonobo, as they disturb me. The intern's temporary design was based on Where's Waldo's girlfriend, Wanda or Wendy or something. Just working through ideas for the series, I guess, trying to convince my brother to get on board with the scripting.

Not really happy with this but I was working on it for too long and eventually I had to just say 'eff it, it's done.'

Lucky for intern Wanda there that the boogeyman went after the b@d@$$ one!

I really like it! I'm not sure what you're unhappy with, it's very good. Though these ladies should probably have holsters somewhere.

cool beans! the boogeyman design is slick and your colouring cuts are getting tight.

the snow came out beautifully, nicely done.

only crit would be some of the values on pennys jacket and the knife, they blend too much into the background. a subtle highlight on the knife blade would make it pop and show it's damn sharp!

was wondering when you'd get something new up :P

"Eff it, it's done" is pretty much how it's done like 90% of the time, ha ha.

That is one freaky-looking Bonhomme, dude.

How do I loathe it? Oh let me count the ways...

haha it's just not quite where I want it to be, I guess. The colour, the composition, the figure work. Such a long way to go.

Nice observation about the holsters, I totally forgot 'em.

Yeah I was working on this for ages colouring little bits a day. I'm not feeling it, but I'm glad you like it. You're right about the greys blending.

"Eff it, it's done" has essentially become my catch phrase these days.

Yeah -- there's some rilly bad anatomy and composition stuff going on - -the colouring is far better than any you've done so far! props for that!

I did one of my quick sketch-over things (which looks like one of my prelims) - -hope you don't mind and that it might help.

Thanks on all accounts, Richard! I have so much trouble with tilted back heads.

The girl on the right seems a little too calm for having a monster bursting out of the snow next to her. Unless that's her personality, then just ignore me. :XD: Nice colors!
